Choreographer, dancer, and facilitator Shavon Norris explores the sounds, words, languages, doctrines, people(s), places, and objects that flooded her developing mind, body, and spirit in this solo performance. It is a love letter and a challenge to the biological, cultural, and historical artifacts and fossils in her blood and in her vision.


About Shavon Norris

Shavon Norris is a Philadelphia based artist, educator, and facilitator. She uses movement along with text, sound and imagery to reveal the stories living in our bodies. Her work has been presented at venues in NYC and Philadelphia. As a performer, she has worked with Silvana Cardell, Leah Stein, Merian Soto, Makini (jumatatu poe), and toured with Pig Iron Theatre Company. As a facilitator, she works in educational, artistic, and corporate spaces offering learning on topics of Movement, Creativity, Inclusivity, and Trauma Informed Practices. Shavon’s artistic and educational philosophies are rooted in deepening our understanding of self and the collective.
